Optimization of EBF frames using uniform deformation theory

In this paper, the EBF frames have been optimized by applying uniform deformation theory, the purpose of the optimization is to distribute damage uniformly in frames. The frames are subjected to ground motion and by incremental shifting material from strong elements to the weak elements according to the mentioned theory they have been optimized. The result indicates that most of the frames have uniform inter-story drift and their weight decreased after optimization
