An Investigation on Crack Closing Effect In Buckling Analysis of Simply Supported Column

In this paper, a comparison for single edge cracked column stability for analytical and finite element method is presented. Tirree different scenarios of damage severities are applied to a simply-supported column, open crack assumption and the effect of closing crack in stability of the column which depends on position and size of cracks, are numerically compared
